Peace at Home Dance Competition
|Date:||February 27, 2021|
On Saturday, February 27th, 2021 at 6pm (PST) we will be celebrating 10 years of dancing. This event was founded by former board member Valeria Ball and the Board of Directors to support the Peace at Home’s mission. Peace at Home is dedicated to creating a community free from family violence, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking.
Prior to the event, if you have registered you will receive a confirmation email with a link that will go live on February 27 at 6pm (PST) to watch the show. This year, Peace at Home will showcase over seven performances. Dancers have been practicing their choreography for several months and are excited to share their performance with you. Performances include Latin, Hip Hop, Swing, Hip Hop and more!
We are pleased to announce our team Coaches: Kendall Scott, Rick Long, Candi Gaedecke, Scott Carroll, Anna Jadanova, Janelle Polcyn and Ashley Cluver.
This year, more than ever, we are so grateful for your support and generosity. As a community and as a Nation, we have all been trying our best to navigate health, safety and connection amidst this global pandemic. With the increased fears and stresses, we have also seen an increase in violence within our community and our advocates have been working each day to provide support and safety to survivors.
At Peace at Home, we hold a commitment to providing physical, emotional and social safety to the best of our ability. As a result, we are excited to host the dance competition virtually, to honor the safety of all of our generous supporters and dedicated dancers.
Although, the performances will not be in-person, it is still a competition and we invite you to send in your votes and support your favorite dancers to win the People’s Choice Award. You can text peaceathome, to 243725, for a link to send your gift. To VOTE for your favorite dancer you can add the dancer name when you type your last name in the link, like this Your Name/Dancer’s Name.
