Theatre Performance: The Dining Room

Don’t miss this UCC Theatre Performance of “The Dining Room: a play of scenes across time.” With UCC’s College and Community cast of 25 performers, A.R. Gurney’s The Dining Room is a collection of scenes fading in and out of one another, showing how American families have changed over time, underscored by a character in each scene experiencing a life change themselves.

A home’s dining room was once a source of pride, which also cemented the position of each person within the family by their place at the table. As today’s open floorplan homes bring us closer together and relaxes family roles, some might feel nostalgic for the formal dining room when seeing this play.
