Authorities seeking information on poaching incident on Roberts Mountain

Douglas County, Ore. – OSP Fish & Wildlife Troopers are investigating unlawfully killed deer off Interstate 5 over the weekend. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the animal was killed adjacent to the freeway near the crest of Roberts Mountain on the east side of the roadway at about 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 30th.

The animal was retrieved by a male subject associated with the vehicle in the photograph. The vehicle of interest is a newer model burgundy or maroon GMC Sierra or similar model 4-door truck with black rims and a black step bar. The truck left the area northbound on Interstate 5 at about 5:15 P.M.

The Oregon State Police is requesting public assistance with information about this poaching case.
