Grammy award-winner Nancy Rumbel to perform with Umpqua Chamber Orchestra and UCC Chamber Choir

ROSEBURG, Ore., — Umpqua Community College Performing and Visual Arts presents Grammy award-winning multi-instrumentalist Nancy Rumbel performing with the Umpqua Chamber Orchestra and UCC Chamber Choir, under the direction of Dr. Jason Heald. The concert features music from five continents, spanning genres from classical to folk, on Tues., Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Roseburg.

Nancy Rumbel is a professional composer, recording artist, performer and teacher. Her primary instruments are oboe, English horn, double wooden ocarinas, clay ocarinas and keyboards. She is well known for her work with the Grammy award-winning duo Tingstad & Rumbel. She has also performed with and/or recorded on releases with the Paul Winter Consort, Susan Osborn, Benjy Wertheimer, David Michael, David Lanz, Robin Spielberg, Cris Williamson, Lydia McCauley, Linda Yapp and countless others.  She composed and played the theme music for “BirdNote” a project heard on 250 public radio stations.

Admission is at the door, $15.00 general admission, $10.00 seniors, and students are free. Location: First Presbyterian Church of Roseburg, 823 SE Lane Ave, Roseburg.
