Roseburg, Ore. – Fire departments around the county perform routine training exercises. While these trainings are mostly safe, Roseburg Fire Department’s training exercise will be a spectacle complete with theatrical smoke and lights.
From now through the end of March, the City of Roseburg Fire Department will be conducting training evolutions at the residential structure located at 1051 W. Harvard Avenue. The training will consist of multiple scenarios and evolutions focusing on rapid fire attack techniques, victim search & rescue techniques, as well as firefighter safety & survival.
During the training, no live fire will be utilized. Theatrical smoke and lighting will be used to simulate visibility challenges while working in smoke filled environments.
