Former City Councilor cited for criminal mischief

Former City Councilor Ashley Hicks was cited Monday for criminal mischief.
Roseburg Police report that Ashley Hicks had painted the curb on both sides of her driveway with yellow paint. After speaking with Roseburg Public Works. Later, an officer met with Ashley and she was cited for the offense of Criminal Mischief II.
Hicks was a former City Councilor for Ward 4 of the City of Roseburg until she was defeated while running for a second term. Hicks filed to run for a position as a Douglas County Commissioner Seat 3 against incumbent Chris Boice in October of 2021.
