Written by on May 15, 2024

Roseburg, Ore., — The countdown has begun: “Movies in the Park” returns in June 2024.

Enjoy family friendly entertainment in Stewart Park on Friday nights in June with this free movie series cosponsored by Roseburg Parks and Recreation and Rogue Credit Union.

Roseburg Parks and Recreation Coordinator Tracy David has arranged great movies and fun pre-show entertainment at the Nichols Band Shell — aka the “Half Shell” — featuring Roseburg Public Library staff, a magician, Wildlife Safari, Smokey Bear with Douglas Forest Protective Association, and UACT performing “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”

This summer’s PG-rated movies will be:

• Friday, June 7: “Wish”

• Friday, June 14: “Migration”

• Friday, June 21: “Elemental”

• Friday, June 28: “Wonka”

All movie activities are weather-permitting and subject to change. Learn more:

Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Thank you to Rogue Credit Union, Roseburg Parks and Rec, and especially Tracy for bringing this beloved program back to the community this summer. #parks#moviesinthepark
